The cottage was built at the same time as Kivelä and according to the same design, so Mäntylä can be called Kivelä’s twin. When the porch of these cottages was enlarged and major repairs were made “at a transitional age”, Kivelä was converted into a living room, and in Mäntylä the hallway was converted into a room where lovers could spend time in solitude.

The lakeside is pleasant, there are all opportunities for walking and enjoying nature in the nearby forests. The dry pine forest is ideal for hiking and cycling.
